RookImg documentation
Operational documentation for image tools, accounts and privacy boundaries.
Getting Started
RookImg runs entirely in your browser — there is nothing to install. Open any tool from the Image Tools page, upload a file from your device, choose your options and download the result.
Every tool works in Guest Mode without an account. If you sign in (optional, Google login supported), you can access your dashboard and downloads manager.
Privacy Model
When you use a tool, your file is sent to RookImg's servers and processed in memory for that single request. As soon as the result is ready, the uploaded file is deleted. Files are never stored, sold or shared.
The only tool that does not upload your image is Color Picker, which samples pixel data directly in your browser.
Your account data (display name, email and avatar from your Google account) is stored separately with our authentication provider and never mixed with your files.
Browser Support
RookImg requires a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript enabled. The site uses modern browser APIs such as File, Blob, ArrayBuffer and local downloads.
For the best experience, keep your browser up to date. Very large files can be slow on weak connections — compress or resize files larger than a few tens of megabytes first.
Troubleshooting
If a file fails to upload, check that it is a supported format (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC or PDF depending on the tool) and that it is not corrupt.
If a download does not start, check your browser's download permissions and try again. Downloads are generated locally in your browser after processing completes.
