Compress an image
Shrink the file size of JPG, PNG or WEBP images before uploading or sending them.
- Open the Compress Image tool and upload a JPG, PNG or WEBP file.
- Pick a compression mode: Low Compression, Balanced or Strong — or set a custom quality value.
- Run the tool and review the before/after size estimate shown in the workspace.
- Download the compressed file and use it anywhere.
Resize an image
Change an image to exact pixel dimensions or a percentage of its original size.
- Open the Resize Image tool and upload your image.
- Enter a width and height in pixels, or switch to percentage mode to scale proportionally.
- Keep Maintain aspect ratio on to avoid distortion, and enable Prevent enlarge to keep small images small.
- Run the tool, then download the resized image.
Convert JPG to PNG
Turn JPG files into lossless PNG images for editing or transparent-background work.
- Open the JPG to PNG tool and upload the JPG you want to convert.
- Optionally adjust the output quality.
- Run the conversion and download the resulting PNG file.
Extract text with OCR
Read text from photos and scanned images with server-side OCR.
- Open the Image to Text tool and upload a photo or scan containing text.
- Choose the language of the text (English, Tamil or Hindi).
- Run the OCR job — the text is extracted on RookImg's servers.
- Review the result and copy or download the extracted text.
